God Was Always With Us

This morning I was just listening to a song by Jason Grey: I will find a Way and I was asking God about what the song meant because it was speaking to my spirit.  Daddy said Julie, I have always been in you.  From the moment that I formed you in your mother’s womb I was with you. We have never been separated. I said Daddy how can this be, surely this can’t be right, I was full of sin.  He then went forth and began to explain and bring verse upon verse to light for me showing me that he has always been with me it was merely my own unbelief that kept me from seeing it.  Below is my study that follows out of this conversation with my Abba. This was such a huge breakthrough in my life I pray it will be for you also.

What is our true identity and genesis? Genesis is our origin, creation and beginning.  How did Daddy create us from the beginning?

Genesis 1:26- Then God (Elohim-Father, Son and Holy Spirit) said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;

Genesis 1:27- So God Created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them, and God said to the, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it….

Genesis 5:2-This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created.

Image: An optical counterpart or appearance of an object, as is produced by a reflection from a mirror, a physical likeness or representation of a person

Likeness:  A person or thing that is like or the match or counterpart of another (Similitude)

Elohim (the trinity) made us from the very beginning in his image, as his optical counterpart, in his physical likeness. From the very beginning he was in us and we were in him counterparts in this beautiful love relationship, as we can see with Adam and Eve.

When did he choose us as his own?

Galatians 1:15-16 But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son to me

Ephesians 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.

Before the creation of the world he chose us to Be holy and blameless

He chose us for himself before the creation of the world, this phrase only applies elsewhere to eternal communion of the son with the father. That is what it is saying to us here, we have that same communion with the trinity.

So why Did I not see it or know it?

Genesis 2:16-17 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat4 of it you shall surely die.”

How did we die?

We were no longer able to freely believe and receive God’s Zoë life for us because of our shame, we felt that we were alienated and separated. But the truth is we were not.

Col 1:21-22 And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, [engaged] in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach–

My interpretation: Once you were a non-participant (of God’s life) and an enemy in your own mind, engaged in toilsome deeds, yet now he has reconciled (changed from one state of mind to another) in His Fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him Holy and blameless and beyond reproach (Not to be called to account)

Paul Say’s “We have this treasure in earthen vessels. (2 Cor 4:7 RSV).

Our own unbelief veiled our minds to keep us from recognizing the image of God revealed in Christ as the authentic reflection of our original identity (2 Cor 4:4)

We didn’t believe the truth about who we were, the truth of our original genesis had been veiled.

Jesus came to remove the veil and show us our true identities.

Romans 6:4
We therefore were buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.

When our old view and opinion died and we realized we couldn’t achieve Zoë life by our own labor, we died to that way of life and became alive again to our original genesis.

Romans 7:6
But now, having died to what bound us, we have been released from the Law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!

“The incorruptible seed of sonship is as much in every man as the seed is already in all soil, even in the desert, waiting for the rain to awaken and ignite its life!” Mirror Translation

Matt 13:44 Jesus says that the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in an agricultural field. There is more to the field than what meets the eye.

2 Cor 4:4, 7 Paul says that we have this treasure in earthen vessels? But the god of this world seeks to blind our minds through unbelief (believing a lie about our true identity.

Num 13:33 And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them.”

When Jesus spoke of the sinner he speaks of him as the lost sheep, coin, or son. The inscription and image did not disappear fromt the coin when it was lost. The son wasn’t not a son just because he was gone.  Mankind forgot what manner of man he was by design, man is the image and likeness bearer of his Maker; this is exactly what Jesus came to reveal and redeem in us.

“We may now behold him with unveiled faces as in a mirror and be immediately transformed in our understanding into his likeness. From the glory [opinion] of the flesh to the glory [opinion] of God. Legalistic religion kept the veil in place; the proclaiming of the liberating truth of the Good News, removes the veil. We only needed to know the truth about us to be free, it was always the truth we just didn’t realize it.” Mirror Bible

Phillipaians 2:4-6 To discover your own completeness in Christ frees you to turn your attention away from yourself to others! The way Jesus saw himself is the only valid way to see yourself. His being God’s equal in form and likeness was official; his sonship did not steal the limelight from his Father? Neither did his humanity distract from the deity of God.

We can see ourselves as Daddy has always seen us, and realize it has always been his desire and will from the beginning for us to live out of that identity. That is true humility.

Daddy I pray right now over each person reading this that they can believe and receive that they are made in your glorious image. That you will continue to persuade them until they can fully receive it.  I pray today that you would show them one way that you love them.  That you would speak to their hearts and that they would be open to hearing from you. Blessings.
