Gospel: The Good News
Is being saved from hell the full message of the Gospel or is the good news so much more. Could it be that relationship and intimacy with the Trinity is the real good news.
Elohim (the trinity) created us from the very beginning to be with them. (Genesis 1-2) We were created in their image to be in complete fellowship (naked and unashamed). That we would walk in absolute and perfect relationship, sharing in the God life, in total unity, forever (eternal life).
Does being “Saved” mean that you simply pray a prayer and are going to heaven and that is all? I believe that being saved, (Sozo-Saved, healed, delivered, prosperous, made whole) has more to do with us returning to the original design of perfect relationship with the trinity than it does with the location of where we will end up after we die.
I have known people who have prayed the prayer, like myself, but did not know God. They did not walk in intimacy with him, fellowship with Him, converse with Him in the cool of the day. They were Christians because they believed, but they were not walking in what I believe is the Good News of the Gospel, relationship with our creator. We were created for intimacy with Him. We were created to know Elohim, to walk with Elohim, to fellowship with Elohim. When he brings us to that realization, what joy, what peace, what celebration flows from that unveiling.
My hearts desire is that each person’s walk would not just consist of “Fire Insurance” but that it would be all that Daddy intended it to be. That it would be an intimate, love filled, unending fellowship with the creator of all things, that we would identify with his very spirit that resides inside of us. That we would see that he created us in His very image for the sole purpose of relationship with Him, to share His very life (Zoe Life). That my dear friend is what I believe is the true good news of the gospel is.
When we are walking in that beautiful intimacy with him, we can’t help but overflow His love onto those around us. The undeniable real fruit of His Spirit effortlessly comes forth in us. It is from that place of intimacy that we are able to love others as Jesus did. It is because we have experienced and received His love for us on such an intimate level that it cannot help but overflow out of us, we are overflowing. It is through that outpouring that others see the unveiling of Jesus within us. We are a mirror of His love for them; we reflect his Spirit in us and they recognize the good news shining out of us.
I love how the Mirror translations interprets 2 Corinthians 3:18-In him every face is unveiled. In the gazing with wonder at the blueprint likeness of God displayed in human form, we suddenly realize that we are looking at ourselves! Every feature of his image is mirrored in us! This is the most radical transformation engineered by the Spirit of the Lord; we are led from an inferior mind-set to the revealed endorsement of our authentic identity. You are his Glory.
