You Will Not Abandon Me

The Joy of the Lord

I struggle, I’m human, I think it’s important to admit that so that people see the realness of my life. I have days that just stink and the lies of the enemy overcome me. I hate days like that. I hate what the enemy steals from myself and my family in those days. Yesterday was one of those days. It was tough and painful and a little scary as I encountered lies again that hadn’t come forth in a very long time.

This morning as I was encouraging people on my prophetic page, Abounding Grace, I began to think about the joy of the lord. I want that joy, continuously in my life. However, I know it’s him not I that can bring it forth; it’s a fruit of His spirit in me. The joy of the Lord is my strength and I need that strength and I trust him to get me there. There are times when I feel alone and discouraged in this journey, but Daddy is good and he knows just what I need. Today Daddy lead me to these verses to assure me that he is always there leading me to freedom. That I am not alone, that I don’t need to feel ashamed in my struggles. A lie I believed for a long time is that I couldn’t be honest about my struggles with others because they would seem as a burden.  That if I shared my struggles that they would no longer want to be my friend.  I realize that this is a lie, and I’m thankful that Daddy is leading me to freedom in this.  He is there in them with me in these struggles, freeing me.

Below are the notes on my study of these verses, I used three different Lexicons to look at the Hebrew words below. (biblehub.com) Enjoy.

My Paraphrase from my study:

For you will not leave/abandon me in the place of separation; Nor will you put/allow your saint to undergo destruction/a trap. You will show me the path to restore life; In your presence is satisfying abundance of joyfulness; In your right hand there pleasures everlasting. Psalms 16:10-11

God did not leave us in separation; he came and showed us the path to restored life with him. (Jesus) In his presence we find the abundance of joy that our souls long for to be satisfied. He is our pleasure; his righteous right hand upholds us.

Isaiah 41:10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold (support, help) you with my righteous (equity, prosperous) right hand.

John 15:11 These things I have spoken to you that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be full.

We find our joy in him and him alone.

Jeremiah 15:16 Your words (to speak, speech) were found, and I ate (devoured) them, and your words (speech) became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts.

I just want to encourage you today that Daddy is leading you on the right path even when you feel alone or lost or going the wrong way, he is guiding you, leading you, saving you. His promise is to never leave us or forsake us. His love for us will not allow us to stay in a place of separation from him. As long as there are still lies and deception we are believing his promise to us is constant pursuit of his perfect love and truth. His words over us, about us, to us bring us freedom and joy and identity. His divine opinion of us is his glory over us and each day he is leading us into a deeper revelation of what that is in our lives. Blessings!
